I have a G4 12" iBook, I purchased it used and I looked up on apple's website and it said this iBook had applecare. However the applecare is in the original owners name apparently and at this point I have no way of "officially" getting it transferred, Is it possible for me to take advantage of applecare anyway?

Is apple lenient with applecare and non-original owners or will they just flat out deny me? Just wondering what other peoples experiences have been with this type of situation.

Thanks.

Terms of Agreement for the APP: said:
9. Transfer of Plan You may transfer this Plan to a new owner of the Covered Equipment by sending notice of transfer to AppleCare Administration, P.O. Box 149125, Austin,TX 78714-9125, United States of America. You must provide the Plan Agreement Number, the serial numbers of the Covered Equipment being transferred, proof of purchase of the Plan, and the name, address, telephone number and email address of the new owner.
In a nutshell, Apple will likely not honor the APP if you cannot successfully prove that you have had it transferred to you.

Otherwise, there really is no way for Apple to determine that it was legitimately sold to you, and was not lost or stolen, etc.
