Lately when I wake up my iMac out of the sleep mode and open Safari it will tell me that I am not connected to the internet, but in a couple of seconds it will connect. This does not happen after I have closed Safari and re-open it, only when it has been in sleep mode. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Do you use wireless Internet? If so, the iMac could be reconnecting to the wireless network.

I have an ethernet connection to my iMac and it always takes a few seconds to connect to the Internet when it comes out of a sleep.
I think this is normal behaviour.
