When I got my MacBook it was set up with Safari, I've like ForeFox and use it all the time and not Safari.. FireFox is set to be my default web browser, When I highlight an area on the computer/email, and has it search the internet, it always brings up Safari.
Is this a Mac setting?
I've all through FireFox and Sarari and can't find a place to change the default web search browser.

Thanks
Don

Safari - Preferences - General - Default web browser - top item on the page

I've already done that when I went to Firefox. Still if I'm reading and email or something and I highlight a word to search, it still brings up Safari.
That is why I was wondering is there an application in Mac to set up the default search browser?

What do you mean when you went to Firefox?

Yes, there is an application to change it. It is Safari. You must open Safari.

Then, in the Menu bar, click on Safari, then Preferences, then make sure you are on the General tab.

The very first option on the page is Default web browser.
You must change that drop down box to change your default browser.
