OS X Lion release date guesses?

You may know that Apple's newest OS is going to be released in July. My best guesses are the 5th and the 19th of July for a release date, simply because they're tuesdays.

What are your best guesses and why?

I'd guess 7th or 14th because they are Thursdays and it is kind of a jump start on the weekend spending that many people do. They get in the mood to do something for the weekend and this would be just such a fun thing to play with. Just a wild guess, really...

Here are my guess's:

July 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 ,30, 31.

I think that about covers it...one of these dates is bound to be right!;)

p.s. If there was a prize offered for getting the date correct...it might make guessing a little more interesting.:)

Do Apple release "betas" or "release candidates" of their new operating system releases?

If so, it must be in the wild exactly what fixes/improvements are in the new version?

I will have to replay keynote but I thought it was mentioned there about the 14th and only available via the App Store.

It's July 4th after the last Firework is shot into the air at the Cupertino Campus! :D

Jobs will shot the last firework into the iCloud then Lion will be "Magically" available at the App Store! :D

And do not forget that last important point, Only OSX is Magical even if it turns into IOS. It's still Magical! :D

Yes we did know of the release funnily enough. Has been touted and discussed here for at least a year and the 14th was the date advised earlier so once again Staff Member Nick has got it right!
