Upgrade memory for 2008 version Aluminum Macbook?

I have the MB466LL/A macbook and I am thinking about upgrade it to 4G or 8G.
Do you think it will give me a speed boost?
I am looking at the PC3 10666 memory ( G.Skill F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ) instead of PC3 8500, do you think the 10666 will be compatible?

stay with pc3 8500 may not work with 10666, others may know better than me. try crucial.com to figure your ram out.

What are you currently using as your main programs? I think that unless you're opening large amounts of programs (Parallels, VMWare, editing software) you should be fine with 4 gigs. I currently have 4 gigs on mine and I have at least 2 gigs free all of the time (iTunes, Opera, Firefox, Excel, Word, HD movie all open at the same time). It's only when I run Parallels that I fall under a gig; I have around 900+ at the lowest.

Hi, well i beleive i have the same alu macbook as you however to answer ur question ill say dont bother with 8GB as the alu version of the macbook can only read up to 6GB of RAM , the rest i believe would be rendered useless. Go for the 6GB it cant hurt if money allows.
