I'm trying to transfer files and applications over from an old MacBook to a new MacBook Pro but it seems I've lost all of my utilities with the exception of colorsync in my old macbook. I'd rather not hunt around for the original install disks (which I'm not sure I have) just to use Migration Assistant.

Is there another way? Either to transfer my files easily, or to recover migration assistant on my old Mac?

Do you have a Time Machine backup? If you do, you can use it to transfer everything to the new machine.
