Brand new 15" mbp 2011 2.2 GHz processor, 4GB RAM, 750 GB HHD. WOrking fine until I tried to open a MS word file from a usb drive and got the panic screen report. I had just shut down Win7 (running on fusion 3.0) like 2 minutes before the machine crashed. Below you can find the crash report...
Any clues?
Thanks!

According to the KP report, accessing the USB device is where the crash occurred. That doesn't mean the USB drive is necessarily at fault. It could have been caused by a corrupt Word file you were copying from the device. How is the USB drive formatted - is it FAT-32, NTFS, HFS?

I'm thinking the culprit is the Kingston Data Traveller thumb drive, although chscag is right, it's possible it could have been the file.

yeap i was trying to open a word or ppt file located in my usb drive when it crashed. i tried to open the same files in a windows computer and they were corrupt.
Another question is that some documents (ppt and word) display some pictures as black boxes. The same docs show no problems in windows. Weird? I guess is a compatibility issue? how can i fix it?
Thanks guys.
