Hello all,

After a reinstall of Snow Leopard on my MacPro, when I delete icons in the dock they reappears after the restart.
Also, if I move the icons on the desktop, after a restart or a logout/login they will reappear in the previous position.

I deactivated iSync but the situation doesn't change.

Any suggestion to address this issue?

Thanks a lot in advance!

HD/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist

Move that plist file to the Desktop.
Restart the computer.
Move your icons around, delete one from the Dock.
Restart.

Is it behaving now?

Ok, next thing to try: log in under a different user account.

Create a new one in System Preferences > Accounts if you have to.

This is the next step in basic troubleshooting measures.

Thanks again toMACsh!!!
I'm just reinstalling all from scratch, some other issues with iSync as well.
Never used Migration Assistant before... I think it is not the best tool to clean up and restart in a tidy up config.

Again, really appreciated your help!
