I just bought a Netgear router a few months ago and have not had any issues with it. I then noticed that my internet was cutting in and out so I looked at the assigned IP Addresses...and it looks like the router is not reassigning the IP Addresses and is timing out.

Any idea what to do? I keep having to reset it daily...starting to bug me. I have tried calling Netgear but they are of no help.

Thanks! :)

Assuming everything else is set up correctly, and it must be since it's worked for you up until now, You can try manually assigning a fixed IP address. If that doesn't work - get a new router.

How hot is it in your house at the mo. Its 30° here and I find my Netgear router can play up when its running hot, so it sits atop one of those freezer blocks that you use to keep picnic food cool in cool boxes

Netgear not good on Macs generally. Traded mine for a Linksys.

I'm the only mac in the house...haha. All the others are PCs and Video Game Systems...and how would I go about setting IP Addresses...that I never got into in my networking class. haha.
