Is there any definitive application for clearing and freeing up hard drive space on the mac. I found a few but they require Snow Leopard. The mac is running 10.4.11 and unfortunately part of a school network that will not be upgrading. So I would like a recommendation that would be useable on OS X 10.4.11. Thanks.

I have not used it but you might give Disk Inventory X a try. According to the downloads page it works with 10.3.9 and above.

Disk Inventory X seems to have worked fine for me, although it's not my favorite. My favorite, however, isn't supported on Tiger or older...

My favorite and still compatible with 10.4 - WhatSize.

For me, well worth $13 more than Disk Inventory X and has a free trial.

Check if you have any unused printer drivers. You can save several GBs with this. Get Dupin to remove duplicate files as well.
