Why would you keep your favorite Teacher in a box?

Just a pet peeve . . . oddly worded advertisements. :)

One of the ads here is for a spell checker that promises, "Just like having your favorite English teacher in a box . . ."

I can think of a few teachers, and others over the years BTW, that I would have like to have been able to put in a box (or any place else out of sight and out of my hair). This is not a fate I would have wished upon my favorites, though.

No real reason for this post other than Monday am and not enough coffee yet.

Can't think of one right now, but look out for the incorrect placement of the word "only". Where it lands can make a world of difference in the meaning.

I personally hate the misuse of "they're, their, there" in everyday uses. I also found out the meaning behind ie. and eg., or rather, the correct usage for them.

There, there now. People mess up on their use of words, but they're just confused.

I used to make the same misteak you did. But I recently learned that it's not ie. and eg. but rather i.e. and e.g. ...just so you know

Ah I know that; not bothered to hit the extra period though; but yes I do tend to get lazy. It wasn't a mistake I made though, I just never used i.e. at all... luckily I never assumed all of said listed examples were "all" of the listed examples.

:)
