I have a Mac Pro, I am running parallels with windows xp, I have autocad installed on the windows side of the virtual machine. Problem is I am having trouble saving my drawings onto a cd rom, because it is not recognizing the cd rom on the windows/autocad side, or it is telling me that it is a read only. When I try to drag it into the cd rom I get a "reading/writing error. Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure I understand what you're doing? You can not drag a file onto a CD in Windows and expect it to be saved. It has to be burned to the CD or DVD. Is that what you're referring to?

Also, in the Parallels tools, options you should be designating the CD\DVD drive as belonging to Windows for the VM session. If you don't do that, Parallels thinks the drive belongs to OS X.
