issue reading pdf

I just downloaded a pdf that works fine when I open it in windows but under my new mac it is just garbled..many of the textboxes contains no data. it just seems like the whole pdf is garbled..any ideas? the first page appears to be ok but the rest are messed up

safari still tries to open it with preview..how do I tell it to open with adobe?

Trust me on this, you don't want to. There's a way, but it's messy.

Instead, just download the PDF rather than trying to read it inside the browser. Open the downloaded file in Adobe Reader by right-clicking on it and choosing "Open With."
