When uninstalling bootcamp

I have been back and forth on installing boot camp, but was wondering This will be on my 09 macbook aluminum body. I was wondering if I use bootcamp and install windows 7 if for some reason I want to remove and stop using bootcamp when I go to uninstall it will my partition go back to just 1 partition or will I have split my HDD into 2 partitions forever?

If you want to be rid of the bootcamp partition just run the bootcamp assistant again and choose the option to restore back to a single OSX partition
