Mac Mail lag

I use Mac Mail for my business emails. My system isn't lagging, but recently, when I type an email, it takes about 4x as long to type into the screen. Pretty annoying. Any idea why?

Without any info on your Mac model, OS version, anything you may have done recently or just before this problem started and what you've tried to resolve it yourself? No.

Macbook, 10.5.8, haven't done anything new recently. Completely random, and it's only Mac Mail typing slow, everything else functions fine, no system slowness, no crashes, nothing.

This is still an issue. I haven't found the cause or a way to fix it. Still lags as I type, taking several minutes to send an email.
