Dear all, need help in learning how to set my L568 Eizo with my new Minimac. I used it with windows XP based on Radeon X800 videocard and the web pages fonts were perfectly sharp and crisp.

Cant believe that switching to MAC has such a price to pay, isn't?

I am sure there should be a way of improving this situation but I dont know where to start.
So far only checked that the mac sees it in native 1280x1024 but still fonts sharpness is missing.
What shall I do?

Heard there are softwares around to help but not sure this is the way to go.
Could you pls help me?
Thanks
Daniel

Well, if you go to system preferences and select the 'appearence' tab, you can adjust the level of Font smoothing - which is the main reason you think your mac looks less sharp.

This is because the font smoothing in OS X is better than it is in Windows XP: Text is jaggedy under windows, which may seem sharper - but OS X looks smoother.

The next version of Windows will feature a similar look when it is released in a few years time ;)
