can anyone help me find what i did wrong?

i was trying to make a ringtone because i'm the typical girl who likes to personalize and stuff like that..
and this is what i did:
1. pick a song and created it into aac version (it was 29 seconds long)
2. changed the file to .m4r version
3. and then i clicked it and put it in the ringtones section
4. i synced my iphone
BUT..
i went to settings > sounds > ringtone
my ringtone that i recently made didn't come up ):

can anyone help me?
