Search for files created on a certain date

Type the date in spotlight? The magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Yes, you can enter the date in the search field in Finder. But you will most likely get a lot more than just files created on that date. Finder will search for files with those numbers in the title too.

are you sure?

I tried a test and found a doc with a certain date. I then typed "June 9, 2011" in spotlight and it listed other files with other dates but not that one. I have content selected at the top of my search. What format should I type the date in?

I used 5/20/09 and found a music file created on that date. Maybe it's your date format?

I found my answer. When I type command F, it brings up more options. One is to select the exact creation date.
