Hi I am in the process of erasing and reinstalling OS to bring my Mac up to Tiger 10.4.11. This is so I can run an old version of Final Cut Pro on my system.
I am having to go back to Mac OS X Update combined 10.2.8
I have reinstalled from two Install discs succesfully but the software update selected after this (from the apple menu) has been running for over three hours now and the time guide indicator seems to have been stuck at the optimising "Mac OS X Update Combined" (4 of 4) for a large part of that time.
Should it take this long ?
Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks

If you have a retail copy of Tiger there is no need to install 10.2 first - you should be able to just install 10.4

If I install this will I be able to do a software update to bring the version upto 10.4.11 ?
