Trust you enjoy your eMac. They have a real cult following.
A dedicated cult member here - and ignore Harry's barb about kellicks!
I still crank up my eMac about two or three days a week, despite having a Mac Mini do do the hard yards (the eMac also helps to keep the room warm during these winter days).
eMacs are not the prettiest computer around, I agree. In fact, when I first laid eyes on a computer lab of them in 2004, my impression was of a bunch of fat, white frogs squatting on benches.
It cannot be over-emphasised that the 'e' of eMac stands for 'education'. If ever there is/was a market that will test a computer to its maximum limits, and beyond, it is a bunch of school kids. The eMac has passed the test with flying colours.
Enjoy your machine, it will give you many years of very good - not perfect, eg. capacitors - service, and fun.
Incidentally, if the crt monitor starts to give trouble, try a LED flat screen monitor from the eMac via a mini-vga > vga adaptor. Good value.
