This is mostly a hardware issue, but may be software and/or iPhone related as well:

I recently pulled some photos and videos off of my iPhone and onto an external hard drive. Ever since that I've been having some problems with my computer:

-Google Chrome consistently crashes
-iTunes gives me two error messages: "Not enough memory..." and "The iTunes library file cannot be saved"
-I can run software updates, but they won't complete and install
-I lost 1GB of memory

I'm on a Macbook Pro 10.5.8 (Leopard, I believe). 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. 4 GB RAM.

Any thoughts? My iPhone seems fine.

The behavior you describe would be typical if a RAM module was failing. You may want to download Remember or run Apple Hardware Test and do a RAM test. I would remove one chip at a time for testing, to more easily narrow down which chip is bad.
