My girlfriend is considering using a new web browser, i told her to stick with what she has, Firefox. Her sister's friend told her to use Google Chrome, but i hear a lot of negative comments about the browser, so i'm a little skeptical about it. My question is, should she stick with Firefox, or venture off to a new browser?

As long as you stay with mainstream browsers, (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari) you will be ok. JUST DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER, but I think you already knew that.

And always have more than one browser available on any computer - period.

"Venturing off" doesn't mean that you have to stick with it. Since all the major browsers are free, give them a try and if you don't like it, don't use it.

Chrome is a pretty good browser, she should try it and add some extensions to it for her preferred use.

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah we knew Google, Firefox, Safari and Opera are better than IE haha. :)

I prefer Safari. Firefox is nice too, but they seem to update it every 17 minutes now (like Chrome), so it sort of depends on how much you enjoy updating.

Usually the tie breaker for a browser is the extensions. Go around each add-on "shop" to get a better picture of what each browser can do. My Chrome is so customized to my needs that I don't even look at other browsers anymore.
