How do I erase my iPod?

It's a 30GB iPod video, being used on a MacBook Pro (1 year old). How do I delete everything off of it?

Your Mac's Specs
20" Intel iMac 2.4 Ghz/3G Ram/320HD, Snow Leopard. PBook G4, 1.5Ghz/1.5 Ram/250 HD, Leopard 10.5.6.
Restore it via iTunes, this wll delete everything, as it's like reformatting. Make sure you have the auto sync feature switched off in preferences though, otherwise it will load all your music again.
