I have been printing pics and pages OK for some time, but I need to scan a pic of a document into iPhoto. I can't seen to figure it out. Could someone enlighten me on why there is no option for this?

When you say "scan a pic of a document" what exactly do you mean? Are you using a scanner to scan a document, or ... ??

I just figured it out with iMac help. I have a Kodak scanner and I had to go through the Apple menu to access for some odd reason. I can't understand why it can't be accessed from iPhoto. Oh well, at least I found out it is possible. Thanks for responding. You guys on here still hold the record for being the most helpful forum I've ever been on.....Fantastic!

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

iPhoto itself doesn't work with scanners, but Image Capture (another program that came with your Mac) does, and passes the results directly on to iPhoto if you want.

I have a Kodak ESP 7250 and use the software that came with the unit. It's really very easy.

Doesn't the 5250 come with AiO Center?

:) Yeppers.

That bar that sits there all the time at the top of the screen is the Menu bar.

The one at the bottom (unless you moved it) with all the icons on it, that's called the Dock.

At least now you know several ways to import your pics. ;D
