When attempting to do a software update the "checking for new software window is present but the progression bar is froxze". This will time out an say no internet connection. There is an I net connection but, Its not working for the S-ware update. Network port??????? Help! Thank you.

Try downloading the Combo update from the link i'll provide below. Hopefully that will work instead and may even fix the problem with your Software Update not working.
