Hi all,

I spilled some water on my Macbook, it shut down by itself. After several days I tried to turn it on with battery in and ac adapter plugged into the wall, but it won't work.

Now if I put in a battery I borrowed from a friend it works perfectly. The light on the adapter is green when connect it to the computer, but it won't charge the batteries. I assume the adapter is fine, but I am not sure. So will replacing the Magsafe DC-In board fix the problem? Or is there anything else I need to check? Or is it fixable at all?

Thanks in advance.

Water damage is unpredictable. You could replace the DC input board and the machine may work OK for awhile and then something else could fail later on.

Please read our Sticky note at the top of this forum regarding spills.
