Hey guys, I have a 2011 Macbook pro 13 w/ the i7. I recently looked at my battery stats in iStat, and I saw that my battery health is at 95% after only 17 cycles. I didn't believe that my battery health could be that bad after so little cycles (owing to the fact that my previous mac, a whitebook which I had for 2 years had 178 cycles, and its battery health was at 93%). So I downloaded coconut battery and it confirmed the same thing.

Current capacity: 5504 mAh
Design capacity: 5770 mAh

I was wondering if that's normal for such a new battery? I've babied this mac so far, and I'm a little concerned about its loss of capacity.

Thanks for any help!

It's normal. Read this article on how to take care of your Apple notebook battery. LINK

Since your machine is under warranty, if the battery does degrade below normal, make an appointment with Apple and have it replaced.
