Hello,

I'm in the market for a new MacBook Pro. I bought a MacBook in Hong Kong 3 years ago, and when i asked if they would upgrade the RAM for free.....they did!

So my question is....If I walked into an Apple store or authorised seller in the UK. Would they upgrade the RAM or do a better price if I asked?

Has anybody done this?

Cheers

I doubt it. You were extremely fortunate to get the free upgrade in Hong Kong. The Apple stores here in the US and UK charge a premium price for upgrades. Since upgrading the memory is so easy and it can be purchased from third party vendors at a much lower cost than Apple, just do it yourself.
