Hi there,

I am new to this forum and have been searching around to solve a problem that I have first encountered yesterday evening.
I wanted to recharge my MacBook (black 46 months old) and the magsafe adapter (only bought 3 weeks ago) did not show any light, no green no orange, nothing. I checked if the battery was fine and it said "good" in the battery information. I took the battery out and put it in again and then the charging worked fine. This morning, just to test if everything was fine again, I pluged in magsafe again. And again, it did not work. I took out the battery again, put it back in and now it works again.
Is anyone able to tell me what the problem is? I am writing my PHD thesis at the moment and I strongly depend on this macbook.

Thanks for your help,
Inga

I would try a new MagSafe adapter. If that doesn't work, you may have other problems but since the easiest solution is to replace the adapter, go ahead and do that first. Make sure you buy a genuine MagSafe adapter or a good quality replacement. Stay away from the cheap knock off replacements that are found on eBay.
