Hi,

I'm wondering what is the eqivalence of the G4 1.42GHz to an Intel processor? It should have at least P3 performance, right? P3 1.3GHz maybe?

There is no comparison. They are two completely different processors running two completey different operating systems. There is no way to give any accurate, honest and unbiased comparisson between them.

Still others have attempted to do so...there are several threads on this topic. Here is just one, but a good one:

The architectures of the processors are different and so is the way the operating systems use them. It's like comparing apples and oranges.
