Not sure where I should put this(maybe a mod can relocate it)
My question is, What is the best format to save images on your computer in order to conserve space? I have been saving everything in jpeg, but I think that is wrong. Honestly I have no idea.

Well you can set different level of compression for jpeg (just like you can for mp3's) so you can't really only say which file format to use.
File size also depends on the resolution of the image (i.e. 1920x1200 or 1024x768), so consider scaling images down if your not going to be printing large blowups of your photos.
