No signal to monitor

Just the other day my monitor, and any monitor for that matter, stopped receiving a signal from my g4 tower. I am assuming that it is the video card or the agp port itself, so I am looking for suggestions for a card within the $150 range, or any suggestions as to what else it may be. Thanks!

What monitor type; ADC, DVI, or VGA?

do you have another monitor you can check to see if it works? it sounds like it might be your video card.. open the computer up, pop the card out and then reseat it. maybe youll get lucky
