I have a new fuji finepix jv100. Our old fuji showed up on the desktop as a disc when connected by usb. The new one does not. I can only download via i-photo. The thing is I like to save the movie clips in a separate folder. Does anyone know how I can extract the movies onto the desktop.

I'm assuming it uses an SD card. Pull the card and use a card reader. FWIW I don't use USB transfer on any of my cameras, including my DSLR. To me it it far more convenient to keep multiple cards (I have about a dozen currently), switch them out as they become full, and then do an upload, sort & pitch, and initial PP when I have time.

Yes it's much easier to use a card reader. It's a pity that camera manufacturers have not got together and adopted a standard interface between their products and computers.
