Reviving My iPod Shuffle

Greetings Macfans. I have an iPod shuffle; an older one, that's just a little square. It seems to be on the blink. When I connect it to my Macbook the iPod does light yellow, briefly. If I disconnect and reconnect it it lights yellow again.

I've left it connected for an hour or more since this started, still it won't come to life. Just the quick yellow light, and sometimes intermittent yellow flash again.

Anything I can do to revive it? Thank you in advance for any help.

The battery is probably almost dead or won't charge. And it really doesn't pay to have a new one put in it. It's probably best to just buy a new Shuffle.

You could try and change the battery but it is almost impossible. You may still have applecare left on it depending on when you got it. I would get a new one if the applecare warranty has expired.

there's algo called an Igo at Radio Shack

I had a dead Ipod shuffle too. You can get a charge for it at Radio Shack, called IGo.. it will charge it, though takes some hours to do so.

But it won't transfer your tunes to Shuffle from computer, sad to say.
Where to buy new charger for the older Shuffles is my question?
