Hello

I have an iMac G5 running Leopard 10.5.8 & running iTunes from an External Seagate 1TB external HD

Could someone help me with the process of partitioning my Seagate HD to enable me to use it to run iTunes AND to use as a back up for Time Machine without having to wipe my iTunes.

I'm a little nervous as i have 300GB of 'Choons' and don't want to mess it up and lose them.

Kind regards
Raff

iPartition can non-destructively resize a partition.

However, any time you are playing with partitions with data on them, you "need" a backup.

No backup in combination with data that you don't want / can't afford to lose, you are already playing with fire. Go get yourself another drive.

My recommendation, no backup, don't go about resizing partitions.
But then, no backup, you'll already lose everything when that drive dies.
On the other hand you could be in the 90+% that is able to resize the partition without any issue. You takes your chances.
