I have both US and UK iTunes accounts and used to switch regularly between the two on my iPhone and iPad. Now, when I try to switch from the US account to the UK one, or visa versa, it says that (paraphrasing) your device is already associated with an iTunes account and, if you change it, you will be unable to iSync your music for 90 days! I know keep them set on the US account.
