mac mini or g5 for video editing

hi
im 14 and im looking to buy a mac for video editing.
im not on a huge budget and i can only stretch to a mac mini.

my question is which mac should i get, mac mini or g5.
first off can the mac mini handle video editing. i have been looking at core 2 duo
versions.

Well, lets start by what your budget is, its hard to say since some later model G5 computers do use intel core 2 duo processors as well, although I would put my money on the mac mini.

No G5 uses an Intel CPU. A G5 is a Power PC CPU by IBM. Has nothing to do with Intel.

I would go with the Mini Intel if you can afford it.

For that cost he could possibly get a used macbook I would think, and at least be portable at the same time.

what about the issue of ram.
i cant afford the 8gb compatible version
i can only get the version before the newest.

taking that into consideration do you still think i should get the mac mini.
