How to ge these pictures off of my phone?

I have a Verizon 3g iPhone, and I am able to upload my "Camera Roll" photos, but my boyfriend somehow uploaded a bunch of pictures from his camera to my phone and they are in a separate folder called "Photo Library", which does not register on iphoto or image capture. How can I download them to my MacBook Pro and get them off of my phone? Sigh, why can't it just connect like a USB... :(
