usb 2.0

I was researching my comp to see if I have USB 2.0. lowendmac.com said 12Mbps - is this 1.1 or 2.0? Or if anyone knows for sure that the MDD 1.25 G4 came with 2.0. If not how might I go about upgrading? Thanks.

That's USB 1.1

USB 2.0 has a 480 Mbps transfer rate.

Thats right - comparable to Firewire

Anyone ever upgraded their machine to USB 2.0 in a Powermac?

just go and buy any standard USB2 card and it should work

There have been many reports of problems of waking from sleep when some USB 2 cards are added. The solution seems to be to disconnect all devices from the USB card before the machine sleeps. If you are looking for USB 2 cards to use with an iPod Apple just released this info: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93405. For desktops they list either a Belkin or Orange Micro USB 2 card. The article doesn't mention the sleep issues so you might want to cross-check the recommended cards with the link in my previous response.
