Hello there,
I have a macbook black early 2008, and my hard drive is dying.
It is the stock 250gb 5400rpm that came with it from new.

I am debating whether or not to buy a hard drive or ssd

The reason is that i need speed, as i can only run 2gb at the moment (due to a faulty ram slot) and it seems slow (mind you that is probably because of my dying hard drive).

So.. shall i go for a 500gb seagate hard drive with a 7200rpm speed @£49.95
or a 64gb ssd from kingston @£76.73? (Kingston 64GB SSDNOW V100 - SATA-II 2.5" - Read.. | Ebuyer.com)

Does solid state have a lot of speed boost, as that is what i need as i do not use much hard drive space on any internal drives, thats why i use external drives for any important or large files?

I would like webpages to load fast, applications to open almost instantaneously and the boot time to be a breeze.

So which should i go for?

Many thanks in advance :)
