The movie looks fantastic. Early reviews are saying that not only is it the best X-Men movie made, it might even be the best Marvel movie ever made. Very exciting to hear such great reviews!

Same here. Really looking forward to it. I hope they create a few more as well. I never read the comic - but really like the movies.

It was pretty good.... although I think it could have been a bit better. They put a lot of focus on Charles and Erik, where it should have been, I think, and when they were together the movie really shined.

However when it transferred off on the other initial mutants and their story, it didn't really give them justice and jumped around from place to place.

All in all, 9/10. You'll like it more if you watched the other 4 and are really into the whole Marvel universe. However there are some inconsistencies and if you're really "serious" and know your stuff, that might irk you a bit.

I decided for my own sanity with regard to the inconsistencies with the other X-Men movies to consider this a partial reboot. And I'm quite honestly fine with that; this movie may even beat out the first two, and the dynamic set up between Erik and Charles was great. That said, the climax of the film felt a bit condensed - it could have easily been expanded by about 20 minutes to help it flow better. All in all, excellent summer film. And I'm not just saying that because Magneto is my favorite Marvel character.
