Mac Issues

Really need some help here! i am in Cambodia so no professional help! I have a black screen on my Mac which will only make a fan noise! Looking it up it seems like kernel 'something' what do i do? is my Mac dead?

Can you give us more info? What Mac model is this and what specs?

It is about 3 year old - runs os x 10.5.6 (I think) desktop has been loaded with previous leopard, i really am not very good at all this and not having any help here is difficult. thank you for transferring my message. Internet here is troublesome (third world country) I phone went down at the same time so is it possible it is something to do with internet? I feel really stupid knowing so little!

One more quick question, is this a Desktop or Laptop Mac?
