I wouldnt buy that one anyway, It is old. It will still work but i reccomend buying one of the yoyo adaptors instead.

i bought it and i tried it on my clamshells and it stays green for only a few seconds. and now the yoyo one that my brother has does the same with them, does this mean that my battery is shot or the charge board? thanks.

I don't know for sure, but if the battery has never been replaced, I would not be surprised at all if it was dying or near death. A new battery will set you back around $100, it's about $70 to get your current battery "recharged."

I have also heard about the charge boards going bad on clamshells, but have never experienced it myself. If I recall, parts for that are pretty reasonable.
