I installed a new 52x Toshiba Samsung CDRW DVDROM (from Microcenter) in a 5 year old G4 that I got from work to give to my father. I downloaded and installed the proper Patchburn applicable for OS X 10.3. Patchburn saw the profile of the new burner.
The G4 reads with the Toshiba Samsung CDRW but however says it does not "support" it when trying to write.
Did I miss something or does Apple refuse to accept 3rd party CDRW?
Is there another brand that will probably work?
Thank You. :biohazard
