Can you find it Activity Monitor ?
If so force quit the App and than drag it to the trash
Did you find it on you're account as a start-up item .
If so delete it

first boot into safe mode. (hold shift at start up).

then delete it from start up items, (in system preferences - accounts) and delete it from your applications folder.

bang, you are done.

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Click software update, install the latest security patch, and while at it, go to Safari, preferences, general, and uncheck open safe files after downloading.
