Does anyone know if it is possible to have one application open when another one starts? For example (this is just an example) is it possible to have Safari open whenever ITunues opens? And have them both close when ITunes closes?

I want something similar to "open on login", but instead I want "open when this other program opens"

Thanks

Applescript or Automator?

Could be done with either Automator or AppleScript. Automator for example has a Launch action where you can choose the app to launch from a drop down. Chain together one of these commands for each program you want to launch. Then test the workflow and save it as an application. A second workflow could be used to quit the apps.

There are some apps such as Mail and Safari do not need a launch command. I have a mini program that launches Safari, IChat, Skype, and Mail. Safari and Mail do not need the Launch command. Accessing their Internet functions via Automator causes these programs to Launch.

I know it was possible in AppleScript but haven't really done a lot there so I posted the one I am most familiar with. Glad you got it sorted out.

BTW could you either post an example of your script or PM me. I am curious whether you did what I thought you would have to do in AppleScript.
