Is it possible to make a picture movie/ slideshow on the Mac? Before I switched to the world of Mac, I was able to do this in Windows quite easily. The CD could be played on many DVD players but is not DVD, but CD.

Thoughts?

I believe that you are talking about VCDs. You can create VCDs in Toast.

Yes, VCDs. But is there software that shipped with OSX that does that or do I have to buy Toast?

AFAIK you should be able to burn a slideshow to a cd using iPhoto...
