I have a Logitech USB Speakerphone that worked flawlessly under
Snow Leopard 10.6.4.

Sometime between updates from 10.6.4 to 10.6.7 the speakerphone stopped
working. It still works however under Win 7 Pro with no issues so it is
not a hardware issue.

SL sees it fine in preferences and under Sound but it does not work.

I have a backup copy of 10.6.4 and it still works there.

Short of finding a fix for this under 10.6.7, does anyone use a speakerphone
on their mac?

What is a good speakerphone for Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.7?

Thanks

I would go to Logitech's site and find the latest drivers.

If not, go into your Audio MIDI Setup application and see if there are any errors.

There are no Mac drivers. There never were. The device just worked on Mac as it does on Win 7 Pro

It still works under 10.6.4 - It does not work after updating to 10.6.7

It is seen in Preferences and under Sound.

This device has worked under win xp, win vista, win 7, Mac SL 10.6.4 with no drivers.

Without drivers, the speakerphone will not operate: they are essential in order for the software to communicate with the hardware.

just because your mac didnt tell you it installed drivers does not mean they are not there. Macs install basic drivers invisibly, and i think you will find Windows pops up to say "installing device drivers..." the first time you plugged it in.

have you checked the site? its worth a shot at least.

This product has been "end of life" for several years now.

The logitech web site says they never had Mac drivers for this device and
never planned on creating any.

If Snow Leopard 10.6.4 loaded drivers for this product, then Snow Leopard 10.6.7
should also have loaded them.

If it shows up in Preferences and Sound, then Snow Leopard knows about it
but is not loading any drivers. Snow Leopard specifically says it is a USB
Speakerphone. I;m guessing that it know this from the Vendor and Device ID
from the device.

Again, it worked in 10.6.4 (and still does) but not after updating to 10.6.7
