the FantomDisk that you provided is a good drive, its reliable and not a bad price... I do not use this drive, I use a LaCie 500gb drive with a firewire 800 in it and I love it. I have heard bad things about LaCie and tell people that I have heard those things but I personally have not had any bad problems with them. I hear they have problems with mounting sometimes... Also I can not say that the FantomDisk's do not have this same problem since I have not used these before. Since you have not told us about your operating system or computer I am going to have to recomend the FantomDisk if you are using Panther, and the Lacie (comes in a 250gb model with out the FW 800 and instead a FW4000) if you are running Tiger.

yea, I use a lacie, I don't have any problems with it. that fantom disk should be ok if you are on panther as pbg4 said, and I think he means fw400 in tiger, 4000 doesnt exist yet, lol.

Yeah I meant 400, my powerbook lately has been having problems with the 0 key being very touchy and 2 0's showing up instead of just 1..
