I am having a similar issue due to theft. I had to create another Apple ID on my new MacBook Pro, and now cannot sync my iPod touch without erasing it, or watch iTunes content I have on an external HD. I emailed Apple, asking if they could create one master Apple ID for me that would allow me to play all the content I own, they said not possible. I'm stuck with the iPod that I can't sync until I figure something out.

Then you need to sync it with the correct PC. This is going to mean doing a restore.

Vigilante:

You did not need to create a new Apple ID.

You do need to go into that account and change the password on it, so that whomever stole whatever cannot access the account.

You're going to end up erasing the Touch in order to sync it to another computer - whether using the old or the new Apple ID.
